We are thrilled to announce that The Coffee Music Project competition will be heading to Cape Town!
Building on successful programmes in London and New York, The Coffee Music Project will be launching in South Africa’s “Mother City”, Cape Town. Celebrated for being a dazzling melting pot of cultures and having a rich and diverse musical legacy, Cape Town promises to deliver a truly distinctive and exciting edition of The Coffee Music Project.
The competition promises to give musicians the chance to share their musical talents with a vast international audience, support an incredible cause and win R20,000 and a trip to London where they will perform at The London Coffee Festival 2018 and record the winning song at a professional recording studio.
Applications for this high profile music competition are now open.
The Coffee Music Project is a high profile music competition showcasing the creativity and talents of emerging musicians while engaging a deep spirit of community among those who share a passion for great music and coffee culture. Cape Town’s burgeoning coffee culture and wealth of up-and-coming musicians promise to blend into an inspiring experience.
Artists at all levels can submit two YouTube videos of performances, which the judges will assess. The top 20 contestants will be chosen to perform during the competition and required to submit an original song with some relation to coffee or a coffee shop experience.
The Coffee Music Project supports Project Waterfall, which is committed to bringing clean water and sanitation to the communities that grow our coffee. All profits from the live shows will directly support this valuable cause.
